MIEL + MEEL

Miel (french for honey, pronounced me-yell) + Meel (afrikaans for flour, pronounced me-eel) connects my past + present. My husband + I recently moved from South Africa to Nice, France where the next chapter of our adventure started which also inspired my blog name.

MEEL symbolises my past + everything that grounds me. It is the base of my life just as South Africa will always be my foundation.

MIEL symbolises my future, sweet, sticky + usually messy when worked with but hopefully what our adventure in life, love + food will be like.

I am currently lucky enough to work with creative legend, Jan-Hendrik van der Westhuizen, have a look at what we are up to on his blog www.janhendrik.com.

Join me while we build a food community, experience food adventures + make new memories one recipe + dinner party at a time.
